Even thought I am primarily a Beaumont family photographer, this engagement sessions was one of the most fun sessions I have had in a while! It was shot the same weekend as Jackson’s 2nd Birthday session from last week, and I guess I was just in a country state of mind because I absolutely love the way both sessions turned out. I don’t shoot engagements very often at all. Because I don’t generally offer wedding services, most couples choose to go with a photographer who can be with them from beginning to end, which I fully support. April and Troy are down here in the Beaumont area for work, but they call a cattle ranch in Oklahoma home, and from her very first e-mail inquiry, April had a clear vision of wanting to incorporate elements from their cattle ranch into their engagement session. Challenge accepted!
My first, and only, thought was Bauer Ranch out in Winnie. In addition to be a fully working ranch, they have created such an amazing event venue for brides wanting an all-inclusive event! Vicki handles everything completely in house, so that all the bride has to worry about is saying “I do!” I cannot say enough nice things about Vicki & Tim. Both of them were so nice and so accommodating and encouraged us to roam free over their land and property. Texas hospitality is legendary, and the Bauers are such a shining example of that. I was so glad that we decided on Bauer Ranch for our session because I feel like it suited Troy and April so perfectly! We had so much fun tromping across pastures, climbing through the barn, climbing fences, visiting with the animals and just enjoying the beautiful country.
Check out April + Troy’s e-session below and leave your congratulations in the comments!
