Hello again!  I can’t believe another week has already passed!

This was one of those weeks where I’ll be honest – some days, pictures just didn’t happen.  We had 50-million other things demanding our attention and taking photos kind of fell by the wayside.  But that’s okay.  I feel like that should be my business tagline: That’s okay.  We’re all in this together, and I know you guys get me.

But y’all.  I have some super important information.  Super.  Important.  Ready?  Okay.  Here goes.

Every single photo taken this week was with my big camera.  Not a single iPhone shot in the bunch.
I know!  But that’s not even the biggest/best part!

Not a single one of these images is in black-and-white.  NOT A SINGLE ONE!

I feel like I just graduated from middle school or something.  You guys know I embrace color in my portraiture, and y’all know I love b&w for lifestyle/documentary for how emotional it makes the image.  And I talked last week about how I’m trying to challenge myself to find my style when it comes to lifestyle/documentary images and color processing.  And I think…. I think I did it.  Maybe?  Hahaha.  I’m loving the direction these are going in.  I can definitely see the growth from beginning to the end of the week.  I can. not. wait. to get with you guys, in your home, with your families, and put some of this awesome stuff I’m learning to good use.

Here’s our week:

These are the only 2 that survived the purge. We were going to get rid of all of them but … look at that face. We’re suckers.

PSA: Carseat police, please holster your weapons. I know his straps are twisted. He likes to buckle himself in and I am letting him have his independence on that, and before I buckle myself in and put the car in drive, I adjust his straps as needed. This was taken in between those moments, sitting in a parking lot, trying to decide where to go for dinner.

You guys ...... I don

You guys …… I don’t even know, haha. It’s really just a terrible shame that he doesn’t have any kind of personality whatsoever. 😉

Y’all have a great week!
