Sooooooo. I went a little over a week there, ha! It’s been 10 kinds of crazy around here, as I’m sure you can all relate. Last weekend I had my amazing Short & Sweet sessions at Bauer Ranch that I can’t wait to share with you guys, and then the magical Sinus Infection Fairy paid my whole household a visit, so there’s been lots of sniffling and napping and Netflix binges. How come no one has ever told me how good Bones is? Seriously.
ANYWAY. So this week turns into more of a hodge podge of the past couple of weeks. Some of them have popped up on my Facebook page just because I like to share what I’m shooting. You guys have kind of surprised me, though. I held myself back for a long time, thinking I had to put up this perfect, professional 100% flawless front for people to respect me as a business person and want to hire me. I kind of kissed that goodbye recently, even though the voices in the back of my head were still telling me that nobody cares what I’m up to on the daily, nobody cares how cute my kid is, nobody wants to hear my insights and opinions. Just show your pretty pictures and move on. But noooo! I could seriously cry because interaction with you guys has gone up 2 million percent (rough estimate) since I started sharing more of our life. And I’m not a crier, y’all. Unless a dog dies in a movie, and then I’m a mess.
Here’s a peek back at the last couple of weeks!
29: My camera has this awesome WIFI feature that I have seriously never even messed with until recently. Even cooler is that I can use the app on my iPhone as a remote trigger and ACTUALLY GET IN THE SHOT. I’m freaking out with sheer glee over here, and feeling pretty silly that I never figured these features out before. My sweet boy tries attacking me every time I sit down on the couch. Sometimes I attack back.
30: Hubs and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on the 25th. (Told you I was behind.) Unfortunately, we spend the day with the hubs having a preventive colonoscopy due to having a family history of colon cancer, as well as an Upper GI to check out his heartburn issues. Super duper romantic. We celebrated by stopping at Gigi’s on the way home from the procedure and binge watching Bones on Netflix for the rest of the afternoon. All in all, a pretty dang good anniversary.
31: Rainy day on the farm. We seriously got a little flooded in, as in no water in the house but my car definitely wasn’t going anywhere. See where I’m going with this Netflix-binge theme?
32: Some of y’all may have seen this gigantic post on my Facebook page. I’m planning on blogging on it and making it into a full length novel and possibly selling the movie rights, but until then, y’all just enjoy this photo of Ezra playing Legos at 10pm.
33: Life on the farm is kinda laid back. We are all enjoying being country folk.
34: Y’all. Whitest baby ever. But those eyes, though.
35: In all my promos for Short and Sweet sessions at Bauer Ranch, I preached and preached about the incomparable sunsets. I don’t think y’all believed me, really. BUT OH, OH, OH. Told ya.
36: Daddy’s working on the tractor while baby yells encouragement from the porch. Before we moved out here, Ezra was so afraid of any kind of loud noise. This move was hard, one of the hardest things we’ve done, but seeing him relax around machinery in general is just one of the millions of reasons this move has been so good for all of us. Watching Ezra out here is like watching a little chicken hatch. Country life agrees with us.
