Do I have to pay my session fee/retainer right away?
The session fee is due in full within 48 hours of scheduling your session in order to secure your session date and time. Fees not paid within 48 hours will result in the session being cancelled and the date and time offered up for booking with other clients.
How much should I expect to spend?
Clients can expect to invest an average of $500 – $1500 on their photography experience, including the session fee. I am a full-service photographer, meaning I want to make the experience so much more for you than just shooting your photos and handing you a disc. I am not only capturing your memories, but I am creating unique, customized pieces of art for your home. The products I offer are all heirloom quality, meaning that you and your family can enjoy these pieces for generations.
What do I wear to my session?
Of course it depends on the type of session! In general, my advice is always to stay away from mixed or small patterns. Solid colors that compliment each other (not matchy-matchy) look best. Pinterest is a great resource for this! I am happy to be a sounding board if you need any advice!
Will you travel?
Absolutely! All sessions located outside of a 30-mile radius of Beaumont Tx are subject to a travel fee based on mileage. Please contact me for a quote.
Do you have a studio?
I currently do not have a studio, and I do not shoot traditional studio portraiture at all. The perk of not having a studio is that having business meetings at local coffee shops gives me an excuse to drink more coffee.
I saw some photos on Pinterest that I want to copy. Can you do that?
The truth is that I can but I won’t. A lot of ideas overlap and share common features, but remember that my number one priority is to create art that is about YOU. If you have images you would like to show me as a baseline or starting point, I would love to see them. From there, we can brainstorm on how to make the images more personal and relevant to you.
What happens if I have to cancel my session?
Session fees and retainers are non-refundable. In the event you must cancel for personal reasons, you will be allowed ONE reschedule (original session date + rescheduled date). Rescheduled sessions that are cancelled are considered forfeit, and you will need to pay an additional session fee to reschedule. In the event that I (the photographer) must cancel for personal reasons, your session will be rescheduled at no additional cost to you.
What happens if it rains?
I wish I had a direct line to Mother Nature, but sometimes our weather can be fickle here in Southeast Texas. As such, sessions cancelled for weather/”Act of God” scenarios will be rescheduled outside of the one reschedule limitation.
You will receive a complete set of policies and more information prior to your session.
